ODU Ranked Among the Best Online Programs By U.S. News and World Report

Old Dominion University (ODU) is one of the best colleges and universities in the USA for distance learning education, according to U.S. News and World Report’s 2018 Best Online Programs rankings.

Released January 9th, 2018, the rankings include public and private colleges and universities with degree-granting programs offering online classes. Categories include bachelor’s programs and graduate programs in business, information technology, criminal justice, education, engineering and nursing.

ODU ranked among the top 100 institutions in the categories of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs, Best Online MBA Programs, and Best Online Education Programs.

The University was also recognized for Best Online Information Technology Programs. Additionally, ODU rose in the engineering and nursing categories by three spots from the previous year.


U.S. News and World Report assessed schools based on criteria such as student engagement; student services and technology; admissions selectivity; faculty credentials and training; and peer reputation.
