One City Marathon Runs
One City Marathon
The full marathon is a 26.2 mile running tour of Newport News. Runners begin in Newport News Park and follow the course to the Newport News Victory Arch. The One City Marathon is a flat, fast, point to point course and also a Boston Qualifier.
The event’s newest addition is a 13.1 mile half marathon.
The marathon relay allows runners to form teams of 2-4 participants, split the distance, and run the 26.2 miles. The relay will follow the same course as the full marathon and will have three exchange points along the way.
For a shorter distance run or walk, the Maritime 8K is a good option. Runners will begin their journey in the downtown area of Newport News, venturing around the downtown area and finishing at the Newport News Victory Arch.
Nautical Mile Fun Run
Kids of all ages get to run an actual nautical mile. An event the whole family will love.
